Witnessing The Fall at Atatürk Arboretum
Summer has left us behind, fall is in the air. Fall is always my favorite season. When all the leaves change their color and reveal the true scenery. It represents the beauty of loss and regeneration. With the cooler temperature, this season always give me warmth and sense of comfort. It is the time to reflect and bring back the memories. To think over the past year, what I have been through, and about the life progress I have made. Unlike summer, I often feel the sadness come along with the fall. But I always love the fall. There is always something beautiful that I could not describe by words about this season. Besides, this season is also perfect time to take beautiful scenic photos while spending the times outdoor.
Last year, I made my way to Yedigoler in Bolu to witness the beauty of fall could offer. It took three hours journey from Istanbul. It was quite exhausted, particularly if you want to return to Istanbul in the same day. However, if you do not want to travel that far, the Atatürk Arboretum could be an option for witnessing the fall. Despite its distant location from the city center, the public bus is available to take passengers to enjoy one of the outdoor attractions in Istanbul.
Located in the southeast of the Belgrad Forests in Sariyer district, the Ataturk Arboretum is home to more than one thousand plant species. It was established in in 1949 to serve as living laboratory that allows scientists, nature lovers, and landscape architects to conduct the studies. Besides, the park is also opened to public who has interests in botany or simply wants to get away from the bustle of Istanbul. School children often come to this park to learn abut the plant diversity, or just simply to take a walk and play with their peers. Still during the fall season, this place also becomes on of favorite spots for the pre wedding photo shoots. So, you’re kindly invited to enjoy the beauty of fall at Atatürk Arboretum through my snaps below.
